LO FI 3 WANTS YOUR SUMMER SUN TO SHINE
We have returned from our midsummer holiday ready for some shows and parties. On August 13 we will be at the Velvet Lounge in Stony Brook supporting Page Hamilton, formerly of Helmet. If you haven’t seen us in a while this is the show to see, combining our groovy blues rock with Hamilton’s unexpected free form jazz. If you love original music, make sure to mark August 13 on your calendar!
On August 22 it will be our privilege to be a part of the memorial tribute to Charlie Golding at Neptune’ s Beach Club in Westhampton. This is a special event for the benefit of his kids, so we encourage all of our fans to come down to the beach to lend your support to a good cause. We promise to have you singing along.
We expect a few surprise shows this month as well, so stay tooned to the site for more information.
Finally, Greg and Dave are preparing some acoustic shows for September. Please check back here to see where and when you can hear the stripped versions of some of your lo fi faces.

Last Minute Gig Thursday July 8th @ Portside Bar & Grill in Port Jefferson

We are excited to play the new Portside Bar & Grill in Port Jefferson, which is located at the site of the old Backyard Bar. The Portside has been completely remodeled and has great food. Come by and Lo Fi!

Tribute to Craig Manganello – June 16th @ Lulu’s Village Pub in Port Jefferson
We are preparing for a night of tribute to our dear friend, Craig Manganello. We lost Craig over two years ago, but his music lives on. We have been enjoying playing his music in preperation for this great event, so if you are able please come by to hear craig’s tunes perfomed by Calypsis, Vinny DiMarco, Lisa Itts, Mitch Hunter and ourselves with special guest Kevin Wood.

In the studio …
We have been hard at work in the studio and are pleased to report that our debut ep is just around the corner. We look forward to spreading the lo fidelity love in the immediate future.
It will be available at most upcoming shows, and hopefully by the June 12 Greenfest in Port Jefferson. We will also eventually make it available online and by mail….stay tuned!

Lo Fi 3 to headline the Port Jefferson Greenfest June 12th
Port Jefferson Greenfest 2010
Lo Fi 3 is very excited to be performing at a great family-friendly event, the Port Jefferson Greenfest on Saturday, June 12th, from 12 noon – 5pm.
We are sharing the stage with some great acts, including Jack’s Waterfall, the PJ Day Trippers and Fez. Also, there will be a fully interactive drum circle and other great activites.
This is sure to be a great afternoon of music and family fun, with many exhibitors, activities and speakers. We hope to see you there!

Lo Fi Update
Greetings, all. We are here to update our friends on lo fi delity happenings.
Our residence on Thursday nights at Lulu’s Village Pub on Thursday’s continues this week, April 29. Please come down and check us out. Lulu’s is an important venue on Long Island, because they present original rock and roll bands 3 or 4 nights a week. This is extremely important to us, as an original rock act trying to be heard over the cacophony created by tribute and cover bands.
Don’t get us wrong, we love classic rock as much as the next guy, and know and love many of the guys who play in these bands. Its just that we want to experience the NEXT legends, not the retired ones. Lulu’s just might provide you with that opportunity, whether it be us, or any of the other original acts writing and performing out on the frontier. And hey- you can get a drink and some decent grub while you check out our particular brand of rocknpopnblues.
We’ve got some other fires burning as well, and are currently digging through our archive of live performances to put together a record that does justice to the lo fi live sound that so many of you have come to love.
We truly appreciate all of you who venture out to hear us, or follow us on this site. Music is life to us, and we know that for you it is, too, and this is why you make it out to the shows. We look forward to seeing you all again soon. And when we do, make sure you say hello and let us know who you are so we can personally express our gratitude.
